THE LUCKIEST MAN ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH

Fellow hubbers and other readers I know I am not the famous New York Yankee, Lou Gehrig, but today (9-10-2010) I am The Luckiest Man on the Face of the Earth!!!!! As you can see on my profile page, I was born on 9-11-1946 and tomorrow will be my 64^thbirthday, but since the year 2000 I have not celebrated my birthday on that day of infamy!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just cannot bring myself to celebrate on a day when nearly 3000 of my fellow Americans were slaughtered by radical Islamists!!!!!!!

For the reason stated above I always celebrate my birthday on dates near to 9-11 rather than act as though I’m happy on that acursed day!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

 

I found a local business that was capable of transferring my 44-year-old reel-to-reel tape of my band “The Darvons” onto a CD format thus preserving this treasure for future generations!!!!!! As of 9-9-2010 this CD is ready for me to pick up and distribute to my former bandmates, family, and a few friends who can stand to listen to our noise making!!!!!!! I won’t be picking it up until 9-13-2010 due to previous obligations as discussed below.

 

As I was cleaning my Hunter Air Purifier on this beautiful Sunday afternoon the motor run permissive broke off making my treasure useless. Oh woe, how can I now remove my noxious cigarette smoke from the air in my room? This may not sound like a reason to celebrate, but that’s not the end of this story, which will be continued below under the heading of September 10, 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

As I stated above my air purifier was ruined and the warrantee stated that the grill, of which the permissive was molded into, had run out after a year of ownership. I had owned this contraption for a little over two years. However I made a call to Hunter Fan Co. and as I spoke to Janice I found out that since the contraption wouldn’t run I got the full 5 year warrantee and they gave me order # 5414297 on 9/7/2010, and were shipping me a new one by Fed Ex!!!!!!!!! At this time Janice couldn’t tell me the arrival date, but she told me to call back on Thursday, September 9, 2010. This further conversation with Hunter fan will be recounted below!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received a treasure of a present from my friend Susie of whom I’ve spoken in my Hub, “Moundsville a Town With Special People-Part 2”!!!!!!!!! I felt like I was a 5-year-old kid again on Christmas morning when I saw the UPS truck pull up to my house with my birthday gift on Wednesday September 8, 2010!!!!!!!!

What a lucky guy I am overlooking a veritable treasure trove of gifts from Susie. There’s 3 DVD’s, two by Rick Nelson and one by The Bee Gees for aiding me in my Time Travel as detailed in my previous Hub,” I Am A Time Traveler’!!!!!! As if this isn’t enough there’s also great golfing equipment. Judge Smails of “Caddyshack” fame has nothing on me the proud owner of a putter that would put his Billy Baroo to shame!!!!!!!!!!!! As if that wasn’t enough I also got a bag with 12 PG balls and a box of 6 Wilson, Spongebob Squarepants glowing Yellow regulation golf balls along with a bag of 100 tees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On the evening of this wonderful day I spoke on the phone with both of my loving daughters, Tracee and Jennifer. It just doesn’t get any better than that both friends and family for a happy birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I woke up at my normal 5 AM feeling like a king. Is there a doubt in any of your minds how lucky an old codger I really am? Well it gets even better!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got confirmation of shipment from Hunter Fan Co. of my new Air Purifier and it will be here today at any moment!!!!!!!!!! As if that isn’t enough, I got a call from Jen and my granddaughter Dakotah was playing soccer game for John Marshall High School JV that very evening.

I arrived at the game a little early and the Varsity game had 5 minutes left. John Marshall was leading 4-3, but the opposition was pressing the offense. Oh, no they scored the tying goal with 1-minute left, but listen to the ref. who called the play offside nullifying the tying goal and John Marshall added 2 to take a 6-3 victory. After a 10 minute break Dakotah took the field with her teammates. She was solid as a rock in goal and led the Monarchs to 1-zip shutout!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There can be no doubt remaining!!!!!!! I am the luckiest man on the face of the Earth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That brings us to today and I’m waiting for my Hunter purifier that’s on the way here according to Fed Ex tracking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just now at 9:41 AM Fed Ex delivered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since my daughter Tracee and her spouse Ikie are going to camp tonight along with my grandchildren Kacey, Parker, and Jake I get to do it all over again next weekend as they’re coming to the house to celebrate my birthday then, and the fun rolls on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
